President's Report

Feeling Grateful.

Hello my fellow Tacoma South Puget Sound NACE members.

As I reflect back on the election at the beginning of the month, I can't help but feel thankful for your support and I am truly honored to be your new president.

I also want to thank the new board members who stepped up to keep the chapter moving in the right direction. Those members are Ellie Carr, Jeremy Hamel, Emily Cook, Pattie Graffe, Alisa Mazziotti, Amy Hatcher, Kiel Pilch, Keniesha Pritchett, Anthony Shipman, Cayla McLaughlin, and Beth Bailey.

Since the election I have had the privilege of sitting down on a one on one basis with most of the new board members. I asked for the meetings to get to know each other on a more personal level. We also spoke about the chapter and we all feel optimistic about it's future. On a personal note this is the best thing I have done since being a member NACE. I am very fortunate to have this group of people to work with for the next year.

I also want to say a special thank you to our past board members; Kati Wright, Emily Cook, Angie Jacobsen, Nems Scarim, Bill Riordan, Debbie McNairy, Rachelle Erickson and Andre Jimenez. Your service to our chapter is truly appreciated.

Looking forward into 2019. We have a board retreat planned for January 7th. During the meeting we will be planning the meetings for the upcoming year. If you have any new ideas for programs or speakers please let one of our board members know so we can discuss them at the retreat.

Sincerely,

Mike Abella
