Alisa Mazziotti, owner of The Realm venue in Tacoma is definitely a triple threat in the events industry. She is this year's Tacoma NACE Treasurer but that is just the beginning. 5 years ago, Alisa was asked to design and plan a wedding for a friend of the family. That day was a game changer. She then realized her incredible talent for design and wanted to see where it would take her. After attending University of Washington (Go Huskies!) and being formally trained in floral design at the Floral Design Institute of Portland, Alisa took her extensive knowledge to the next step. She opened an event design and rental company with her father called Enchanted Whimsy Designs. Together, they built most of the wooden pieces that she known for today. She is also memorable for her ethereal floral designs and custom-built wooden tables and installations. You have most likely seen her work at previous Tacoma NACE meetings and other events around town.
After running a showroom for event design and rentals she moved over to a different building that is now known as The Realm. She re-designed aspects of a building back in 1910 and created the perfect venue. In addition to Alisa's many amazing talents, The Realm offers a multi-level event facility complete with a spacious catering kitchen available for caterers to lease out. Currently, they are working on a beautiful outside deck area to expand the space even more so stay tuned!
When Alisa is not juggling her event business, seven children, two grandchildren, and a husband, she also works in the Oil and Gas industry for over 18 years as a landman. Yes, you read that correctly! She is a Jill of all trades! She thoroughly enjoys staying busy and sharing her talent with those around here. However, like most of us she loves a night off. Alisa enjoys relaxing and going camping in her free time.
Make sure to say hello to Alisa at our next meeting and get all of the details of her exciting life!
